Sal D'Aquila, whose swords are represented on this web site, had an extensive background in the fields of film and exhibitry.
Having worked in design and construction of special effects props, costumes and sets, he was involved in many film and television productions, including Highlander -The Series.
Sal Created Point Gallery in 1998 and created the Musashi as a refined version of the Highlander Series - Season 1 Prop, designed by Stephen Geagan and used by Adrian Paul as 'Duncan MacLeod'.
Sal partnered with Daryl Kyle and Alex Brockhagen, who he allowed to acquire Point Gallery in April, 2012.
Sal retired shortly after in July, 2012.
Sal unfortunately passed away in mid 2015 and he is missed every day by every one who knew him.
Sal will be always be a Legend in the field of props and film replicas and Point Gallery will continue to carry his Legacy into the Future.
Mark has many years of experience as a sculptor and carver, starting in 2001 and joining the team at Point Gallery, and Texas Steel Props and Replicas in 2016. He was able to turn his passion into a full time career becoming their lead artist and producer in 2018.
He also works closely with Adrian Paul, of The Sword Experience, acting as designer, artist, and producer for the line of handmade bokkens that they offer. He has worked on commissions for several other well known people in the fields of prop production and stage combat.
He doesn't just make swords, he is also well versed in how to use them. He started training with medieval weaponry when he was young and began to specialize in Japanese weapons in 1994. He has a particular interest in the classic longsword and katana.
In addition to swords, Mark is also a skilled figure sculptor and caster, working in many materials and subjects, in sizes from one inch all the way to four feet. He has a deep love for the Godzilla franchise and has made several amazing models of the title monster for his own collection. He also works on human figures and landscape models.
He has taken his love of sculpture and combined it with his sword skills and now specializes in unique sculpted sword handles and fittings, having worked on many original and commissioned projects.
Marie is a classically trained artist and business manager with experience in a wide range of skills in both traditional and contemporary arts. She has studied fine art since 2004, through high school, private lessons and at college. She enrolled in the fine arts department at Arkansas State University in 2008 in the Fine Arts Enterprise program, a hybrid art and business degree program.
She began working with Mark in 2018 and progressed from helping with clerical work to acting as a full partner in most projects, developing a number of skills in woodworking, metal work and sculpting. Her primary focus is in refining and finishing processes such as painting and staining as well as polishing and sealing for the pisces she and Mark produce.
Marie has also brought new technology into the operation, with skills in computer aided drafting and graphic design. She has also introduced new materials and techniques and is a major part of new product development.
She serves as business manager and shipping coordinator, helping to bring a little order to the madness of the logistical side of the business.
Alexander Brockhagen partnered with Daryl Kyle in 2011 and both acquired Point Gallery in April, 2012.
Alexander is a classically trained Architect, with extensive experience in working within the accounting realm of the business.
As Director of Operations, Alexander is responsible for maintaining the supply chain and to ensure all projects are crafted on time to the highest standards possible.
Sal D'Aquila trusted Alexander to always maintain focus on ensuring that all Artists, to ever work at Point Gallery, would follow the strict quality standards, that would always guarantee each piece crafted, is the best available on the market today.
His passion for History and Art drew him to the Highlander Franchise and especially the Television Series.
Previously Partnering with Daryl Kyle and now Mark Bitner & Marie Roberts has proven to be one of the best journeys he has ever undertaken.

Daryl Kyle is a self-taught Artist / Craftsman with over 15 Years experience crafting prop replicas and swords for people internationally.
Daryl partnered with Alexander Brockhagen in late 2011 and both were able to acquire Point Gallery from Sal D'Aquila, in April, 2012.
After Sal's passing in 2015, Daryl continued to carry out Sal's vision for the future of the company, which continues to flourish and grow every day.
Daryl was personally trained by Sal and each piece he crafts carries the spirit and quality of Sal himself. A great honor for Daryl.
Daryl also owns Texas Steel Props & Replicas and has implemented new technologies to streamline production at both companies. Daryl believes new techniques and technologies are key to the future.
One of Daryl's favorite genres is Sci-Fi / Fantasy and his dream came true now as the Co Owner of Point Gallery.
